Just before the immigration area, you will meet our representative with a signboard and your name written on it. UNTOUCHED TANZANIA – digital safari itinerary  DAY 5 – After your breakfast, overlooking the valley, you visit the local Maasai community in one of the neighboring villages. Here you learn about the traditional way of life, which has defined this corner of Africa for centuries. Afterward, you will have a short trek near Empakaai Crater, accompanied by a ranger. While walking to the crater rim, you can see the soda lake on the crater floor, famous for the pink flamingo that congregate on its shores. Picnic lunch will be served near the Empakaai rim. You continue your drive to Karatu. In the past, the area around Karatu and Oldeani was of great importance to the German colonial administration. The area’s cool climate, verdant hills, and pleasing views make it popular with settlers and farmers. Vast and extensive fields cover the slopes of the volcano and the lands around Karatu town. Coffee was a main crop grown for export, and a few large farms that remained in private hands still cultivate the cash crop on the hills and small valleys outside of town.

This arid land became home for the Hadza (Hadzabe) people, an isolated bushman tribe group related to the Khoisan tribes of South Africa. Of course, you are visiting one of their settlements and getting acquainted with their traditional way of life. Hadzabe’s nearest neighbours are the Datoga people – Nilotic people whose main activity is livestock and forging metal tips for arrows for trading with Hadzabe. Lunch and indeed a very lazy afternoon at the lodge, and finally Dinner.
UNTOUCHED TANZANIA – Digital Safari itinerary. DAY 7 – Breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for the pink flamingoes and tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the park near Hot Springs, called in Swahili – Maji Moto. Drive to Tarangire National Park, game drive on the way to the lodge for dinner. DAY 8 – Another full-day safari in Tarangire. Indeed originates the name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. Hence, this park has some of the highest population densities of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania. Thousands of baobab trees scattered across its territory also give the park a special beauty. Breakfast and dinner at the lodge, a picnic lunch will be served in the park.
